Darlene Love Takes the Stage at The Big E

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Darlene Love’s hits include “(Christmas) Baby Please Come Home” and “(Today I Met) The Boy I’m Gonna Marry,” along with countless others.

Throughout her career, she also sang backup for such artists as Elvis Presley, Tom Jones, Dionne Warwick, and The Beach Boys.

In 2011, Love received one of the highest honors in music when she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This week, Love makes her first performances ever in the Northeast for the 2013 installment of The Big E.

ABC40’s Dave Madsen and Shannon Hegy caught up with Love to talk about her career – both the ups and downs – and her time at New England’s biggest fair.

Darlene Love has one more show, Monday at 8:00 p.m., at the Court of Honor Stage, so be sure to check it out.
