ABC40 Honor Roll – Students Raise Awarness for Global Cause

LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB) – Seventh grade students at Glenbrook Middle School in Longmeadow  have been learning about one of the most challenging issues of the 21st century, access to clean water. The kids are using what they are learning to help others.

In November they will be kicking off a fundraising effort for “Water for Waslala”, an organization that works with local people in Waslala, Nicaragua to bring water to their town. The mission is to provide the town with safe, clean drinking water by the year 2030 and to educate the people on maintaining the water system.
