Ride to Remember Riders Cross Finish Line in Boston

ride to remember finish

BOSTON (WGGB) — Riders have crossed the finish line in Boston, completing all 104 miles of the Ride to Remember.

The ride finished along the entire route of the Boston Marathon into Boston. It concluded with a ceremony at the Boston State House, where they honored Springfield Police Officer Kevin Ambrose and Westfield Police Officer Jose Torres, both of whom died in 2012, along with all officers whose names are inscribed at the site.

The first-ever event took more than 200 riders from Springfield to Boston, to honor fallen officers.

ABC40’s Brittany Decker took part in the ride. You can click on the second video above to see her updates from along the route.

To date, the ride has raised over $70,000, which will go toward the Law Enforcement Memorial. If you would like more information or to donate to the ride, you can visit this website.
