Mayor Michael Bissonnette Meets with Residents

MAYOR NIGHT

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WGGB) — Chicopee Mayor Michael Bissonnette met with residents in the Burnett Road area of Chicopee Monday Night.

It’s part of his “Monday Nights with the Mayor Neighborhood Town Meeting” program.

Each Monday since August, he mayor has traveled to a different area of the city for the meetings.

He says it’s a great way to hear about residents’ concerns.

“There’s generic concerns in every neighborhood; we want police protection, there’s reckless driving going on, there’s private property issues. Every neighborhood has a sore thumb or two, and we’re trying to keep after that.. out here on Burnett Road, there are some concern that they are distant from the rest of the city. And they are disconnected, to some extent, by the highway and the Turnpike,” said Mayor Bissonnette.

Representatives from city departments, like fire, police, and the DPW have been attending the meetings wi
