Line Dancers Kick Up Their Heels at the New England Building

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — It was all about country at the New England Building Thursday.

“The Big E is like the greatest venue for line dancing,” says Debbie Tracy.

Dancers from the Greater Springfield area gathered to show off their moves to the crowd and to have fun

“Beginners, intermediates, advanced, they come to socialize, exercise”

“You show them that anyone can do this. We are all different ages, different abilities,” says Susan Jorgeneson of Agawam.

Can anyone really do it?

Tracy adds, “You just have to be open to it. If you can walk, you can dance. [Do you need to have rhythm?] No way. [Do you need to have coordination?] No way.”

Well, you know what this means: Brittany just had to give it a try.

What I’ve learned is that you can’t make any mistakes here. There’s just different variations…that’s a nice way to put it.

Sprinkle in some tricks, and you got professional line dancing.
