Police Look for Man in Attempted Abduction in Ludlow

Police-Investigation2LUDLOW, Mass. (WGGB) — The Ludlow Police Department is looking for a man driving a black van who allegedly attempted to abduct one of two young females walking on Center Street Monday evening.

They were notified by a parent who came into the police station that night who outlined the incident with them.

At about 6:25 p.m. Monday two girls, one 12-years-old and another 14-years-old, were walking together in the area between Rood Street and Church Street.  Police say the parent told them the girls noticed a black van with tinted windows driving southbound on Center Street go past them and then turn around coming back to their location.

One of the two girls said the man asked her to get into his van and when she refused, he offered her candy.  When she said no again, the man stated “Whatever” and drove off going southbound on Center Street.

According to police he is described as having dark brown hair, and a light beard, and wearing a black shirt with no collar on it.  No license plate information was obtained.

Imagine the kids that were in danger between then and now because of how later this story was? To those two girls: Very smart walking together, safety in numbers.
