(WGGB) — Clarkdale Farm in Deerfield had a steady flow of traffic this afternoon.
Customers there found every flavor of the season, including a great variety of fruit: pears, plums, grapes, and the fall favorite – apples!
“Warm days and cool nights are really great for the apple crop. They have a great flavor. We got hit by a frost last year, so this time is much better,” says Ben Clark, one of the owners of the Clarkdale Farm.
At the site, you can also pick your own apples and try apple cider.
The vibrant colors of the season are apparent too, with bright orange pumpkins to carve and to eat.
“Right here, we have sugar pumpkin, not just for decorating but also eating. Some people make their own pumpkin pie the traditional way, not just from a can,” adds Clark.
There are bright chrysanthemums grown right down the street and picturesque scenery for all to enjoy.
“We get to experience all the ups and downs of the season, so we’ve got the cold in the winter, but right now, it’s beautiful in the fall,” says Arlie Cohn, as he looks at the view of the trees while eating his lunch.
