SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a bank robbery suspect.
Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney says that around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, a man walked into the United Bank at 115 State Street and approached the counter.
Delaney adds that the suspect asked the teller to “give it up” and implied that he had a weapon. He then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot east on State Street.
The suspect is described as a black male, perhaps in his 40′s, about 5′ 8″ to 5′ 10″ tall, with a “sunken face” and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white jacket, grey shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
