Berkshire County Murder Suspects in Springfield for Motion Hearing
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The three men who have been charged with a triple slaying in Berkshire County in August of 2011 were all brought to the Hampden Superior Courthouse in Springfield today for a motion hearing.
Adam Hall, David Chalue, and Caius Veiovis were under heavy police escort when they arrived this morning at 8:20. State Police Trooper John Vasquez told us they helped provide some of the security as a precaution, “We had our cruisers down there assisting with the escort from a different unit. There were five from the (Springfield) barracks.”
According to Fred Lantz, spokesperson for the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, the three suspects were transported to Springfield today because the judge that is hearing their case is “sitting” in the city this month. Lantz notes this is a routine procedure.
The defendants are accused of killing David Glasser, Robert Chadwell and Edward Frampton, allegedly because Hall, a ranking member of the local Hells Angels chapter, wanted Glasser dead so he could not testify at an assault trial.
In February, DA David Capeless filed a motion asking that the three men be tried together.
