STURBRIDGE, Mass. (WGGB) — State Police discovered a large quantity of marijuana after a traffic stop in Sturbridge Friday afternoon.

A trooper on patrol pulled over a Lexus on Interstate 84 for a motor vehicle violation. After questioning the two men inside, Trooper Yuriy Bukhenik called for K-9 assistance, which led to the recovery of 143 pounds of pot.

19 year-old Yonghui Liang and 19 year-old Zichao Bu, both of New York City, were charged with Trafficking in Marijuana and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. They were being held at the State Police Sturbridge Barracks, where bail was set at $5,000 each.

They will be arraigned at Dudley District Court on Tuesday.
