Police Investigating Two Car Crash in Wales

WALES, Mass. (WGGB) — Three people are in the hospital after a car crash Tuesday afternoon in Wales.

Wales Police say that just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to a two car accident on Route 19, on the Massachusetts/Connecticut border.

Three people had to be extricated from the cars.

Police note that two people were flown by two separate medical helicopters to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

A third person was taken by ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford, Conn.

The conditions of those injured are not immediately known.

The collision remains under investigation by Mass. State Police and Conn. State Police.
