This urban decay has been systematically enabled by the people put into office. Handouts are obviously not working.

Unreal… The “ghetto” is making it’s way into the so-called nicer neighborhoods of Springfield. I live in Sixteen Acres, and it’s sad that it’s coming to the point where we don’t even have those neighborhoods anymore (East Forest Park, too)!

When one area is under police scrutiny the criminals move to another one.

Things will not get better until the city start reducing the number of section 8 housing units and get tough on the welfare, ebt and other freebies. Some people have been abusing the entitlements for years. The mayor’s and city councils have allowed to many imports from NY and puerto rico. This to keep the money coming in from the state and federal gov. for having population numbers 150k or above. I’ve lived here for over 50 years and I KNOW what has gone on.
