Vt. Teen Killed, 2 Others Injured in Rowe Crash
ROWE, Mass. (WGGB) — Investigators say that a teenager from Vermont was killed in a crash late Saturday night in Rowe.
Northwestern Fist Assistant District Attorney Steven Gagne says that around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, officers were called out to a motor vehicle crash on Potter Road in Rowe.
A preliminary investigation indicates that the truck was heading north on Potter Road when it went off the left side of the road and hit a tree.
Gagne adds that one of the people in the truck, 18-year-old Nicholas Boyd of Whitingham, Vt., was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people in the truck were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s office.
