The Walking Dead
AMC has tapped Walking Dead executive producer Robert Kirkman to develop a companion series to its blockbuster zombie drama. Set to premiere in 2015, it will focus on a new set of characters. “It’s going to exist in its own world,” says Greg Nicotero, one of the executive producers of the current show. “The beauty of that world is that it can [happen] in so many places.” Some members of the cast reveal where they’d like to see the walkers wreak havoc.
“A self-contained oxygen-controlled London biosphere with all glass walls where outside you can see all this crazy zombie mayhem going on.” — LAUREN COHAN (MAGGIE)
“On a cruise ship, like The Love Boat, stopping at different destinations, with zombies in the swimming pools.” — ANDREW LINCOLN (RICK)
“The White House. I want to know what happened to the president and our government when this all went down.” — DANAI GURIRA (MICHONNE)
“I’d want to see New York. The people there handle things very differently from those in the South.” — SONEQUA MARTIN-GREEN (SASHA)
“A drama set in the future. It’s been over 100 years and people have figured out how to survive in this situation.” — STEVEN YEUN (GLENN)
“What about Alaska? I’d want to see what zombies are like out in the cold.” — EMILY KINNEY (BETH)
“Egypt. There’s so much history there with mummies who could be walkers.” — CHAD L. COLEMAN (TYREESE)
“In an old sheriff’s town with a band of children taking matters into their own hands.” — NORMAN REEDUS (DARYL)
