Ohio State Marching Band’s “Moonwalk” Goes Viral

(WGGB) — Marching bands are often known for their formations, choreography, and covers of popular music.

This past weekend, during halftime of their game against Iowa, the Ohio State University Marching Band commemorated the 25th anniversary of the release of Michael Jackson’s “Bad” with a musical tribute to the album and the artist.

However, when it came to doing the moonwalk as a group, they decided to create a massive silhouette of Jackson and marched in unison, backwards across the gridiron.

A video of that tribute produced by student-run BuckeyeTV was posted to YouTube and has gone viral in just a matter of days, with over 1 million hits by Monday night.
