HOLYOKE, Mass (WGGB) — Tonight candidates for the 2nd Hampden-Hampshire Senate seat faced off in a debate at Holyoke Community College.
It was sponsored by the greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, and chambers of commerce throughout the district.
Republican state rep. Don Humason faced off against Democrat Holyoke City Councilor David Bartley.
Questions from a panel of journalists, including ABC40’s Chris Pisano, ranged from gun control to budget control.
The two candidates are looking to fill the senate seat left vacant by Michael Knapik, who left in August for a job at Westfield State University.
The election is November 5th.
