Lazer 99.3 Host Sleeps in Dog House

LASER 99 DOG HOUSEWEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A local radio host is hoping to quickly raise money for Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center, because he’s stuck in the dog house until he reaches his goal.

Monday night, Lazer 99.3 host Pat Kelly slept in a human-sized dog house, which is where he’ll sleep every night until he collects $10,000 or fills two large trucks with pet supplies for the animals at Thomas J. O’Connor.

“The food is obvious, but the money goes for food and sometimes rehab, medication, shots, veterinary bills,” says Kelly. “You know, these animals — they’re rescued — they’re taken from bad situations, so they need help.”

Lazer 99.3 is collecting donations at the Century Center along Memorial Ave. in West Springfield.

Kelly is hoping to reach $10,000 or two truck-loads by Wednesday night so he can watch the Red Sox game from the comfort of his living room.
