Red Sox Pride on Display at Holyoke Soldiers’ Home
HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — Red Sox pride was on display in Holyoke Wednesday at the Soldiers’ Home.
“Here we go Red Sox, here we go! Here we go Red Sox, here we go!”
Both veterans and employees wore their Red Sox gear as a way of showing support for their favorite team.
Some wore shirts, jerseys, and caps, while others completed their outfit with a signature beard.
“We have a lot of loyal, very devoted and passionate veterans here who love their Red Sox. They cheer them on. A lot of these guys and ladies watch the Sox every, every night, every game throughout this season. It’s been a very special season to watch it with them, so a lot staff out here today…we just thought we’d show our loyalty and support to the team we love and follow throughout the year,” says John Paradis, communications director for the Soldiers’ Home.
One lifelong fan has his own special way of showing his love of the Red Sox, with a specially designed logo on his prosthetic leg.
