Springfield Public Schools Hold Recruitment Fair

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Springfield Public Schools are looking to fill several teaching positions.

Thursday, they held a recruitment fair at the High School of Science and Technology.

The district is looking to fill gaps in critical need areas, like math and English.

It’s the first time they’ve had more than 20 positions open at this point in the year, due to a combination of retirements, and new jobs being added. 3

“Springfield is very unique in terms of the professional development opportunities to it’s teachers. We have many opportunities for career advancement within your career in education, and we want the best educators for our kids,” explains Lucy Perez, Human Resources Administrator for the school district.

Many of the positions require that you are licensed to teach through the state, but they are hiring for other positions as well.
