Holyoke Man Arrested After Gun Falls Out of Clothing

Luis Rivera holyoke gun arrest

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) – A man was arrested in Holyoke Thursday night after police found a gun on his person.

Holyoke Police responded to a call at 47 Vernon Street where they found 29-year-old Luis Rivera trying to enter an apartment. Rivera was acting erratically and refused to respond to officers after they tried to calm him down.

He was tasered and while police struggled to confine him, a fully loaded semi-automatic 5.7 caliber handgun fell from his clothing. He was then subdued and taken into custody.

Rivera was charged with a number of accounts, including disorderly conduct, possession of a firearm without a license, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.

That’s right Mike B. and without them this idiot would own that or another gun LEGALLY. Is that what you want? Felons with guns? Why a legit gun owner would complain still baffles me. As to where he got the gun, he stole it from YOU or some other fascist slob. That’s why not you, nor anyone else should own guns. It works in civilized societies all over the world.
PS. Why this in reply to Donna Beattie is anyone’s guess. This site has been really bad the last week.

The site was actually pretty good because you weren’t here.

C’mon now, it’s HOLYOKE. Frisk 5 people at church or the laundromatico and 4 will have stolen guns on them, probably more than one. The city councilors are armed (steal your guns from them).

How about some links to verify your “statements”?

Apparently he was out early trick or treating. He is definitely got that scary look! Oh wait….. That is not a costume! At least these pieces of crap contribute to the economy- police, court systems, public defenders, jails etc.

    A 5.7 caliber ? What’s that?
I think the reporter got confused with a Mopar hemi.
    Oh well !!

Abe, sub humans like this guy make it necessary to have the means to protect yourself.
As for stolen guns, it’s a state law that all firearms are to be secured and the best way to secure your handgun is to have with you.

See what happens when they drop out of school.
