SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – We saw a good deal of sunshine out there today as well as a good deal of wind. Temperatures only made it into the 50s despite the mostly sunny skies. Winds were gusty this afternoon as well and that breeze will continue into tonight, though the winds will not be as strong as they were earlier. Clouds will be on the increase tonight as well but the good news is with the mostly cloudy skies and breezy conditions temperatures will not be as cold as they were last night.
A weak front crosses the area late tonight and reinforces the cool air over us for Sunday. Our computer data is trending down the potential for showers with the frontal passage overnight so at this point just a sprinkle or quick shower (snow flurry in the hills?) is possible tonight with overnight lows in the low to mid 30s.
Clouds should clear by dawn Sunday so that it ends up a bright start but clouds mix in and may take over for a time during the afternoon. It will be blustery tomorrow but not quite as windy as today. Highs Sunday will stay in the low to mid-50s - still below normal for late October.
We stay cool for the start of the work week with a moderating trend by Wednesday and Halloween. We are tracking some possible rain for Wednesday and Halloween though. Stay tuned..
Have a great evening!
