SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — We saw a mixture of sun and clouds this afternoon and there was a stiff breeze out there though it was not as windy as yesterday. Clouds will clear out tonight and the winds will diminish. That will allow for maximum radiational cooling to take place which will lead to a chilly night with low temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s. A cold front will move through the area on Monday and we will see partly to mostly sunny skies and the breeze will pick back up out of the west. Highs on Monday will run in the low to mid 50s.
Monday night will be another chilly night with partly cloudy skies. Lows Monday night will run in the mid to upper 20s. Tuesday is shaping up to be the coldest day of the week with temperatures only in the mid to upper 40s which is a good ten degrees below normal. We will start to see a brief moderating trend by Halloween. We are also tracking some rain toward the end of the week though right now it looks like any rain holds off till very late Thursday night into Friday. We could be talking about temperatures in the lower 60s by the end of the week. Stay tuned..
Have a great evening!
