Amherst Police Investigating Weekend Assault

AMHERST, Mass. (WGGB) — Police in Amherst are investigating the weekend assault of a woman.

Amherst Police Lt. Ronald Young says that around midnight Saturday, a man assaulted an 18-year-old woman from New York along North Pleasant Street, near Berkshire Terrace.

The woman was uninjured.

Young adds that the suspect is only described as a college-aged white male with an earring in at least one ear, who was last seen wearing jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt. He was last seen leaving the area in a gray or silver sedan.
