Deerfield Approves 24/7 Regional Ambulance Service

ambulanceDEERFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Deerfield residents have voted in favor of a regional ambulance service.

This means the plan to bring a regional 24-hour ambulance service to southern Franklin County will go ahead.

Both Sunderland and Whatley have already voted to approve the proposal.

The project is expected to cost a total of more than $600,000.

24/7 ambulance coverage for all three communities will begin on January 1, 2014.
