BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB) — The Celtics say that forward Jared Sullinger will miss one game for his alleged involvement in an incident this past summer.
In August, Sullinger was accused of assaulting a woman in a domestic-related incident.
While acknowledging that the team was “satisfied” that it was the correct ruling, Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge says in a statement that, “We are suspending Jared for one game because he failed to meet the high expectations we have for all Celtics employees.”
The Celtics say that Sullinger will serve his suspension on Wednesday, when the C’s tip-off the 2013-2014 season Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors.
