Truck Crash Closes Westbound Lanes of Mass. Pike in Palmer
PALMER, Mass. (WGGB) — A crash involving a flatbed-trailer hauling concrete has closed down lanes of the Mass. Pike in Palmer.
State Police were called out to the crash, which occurred on the westbound side of the highway, around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.
At one point, both sides of the highway was closed. The eastbound side has since reopened completely, while only the westbound breakdown lane has been opened to traffic.
State Police adds that the crash caused a fire along the treeline along the road, but members of the Palmer Fire Department were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
No other vehicles are involved in the crash and no injuries have been reported.
