ABC40 Honor Roll – Students Come to Teachers Aid

DEERFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Students at the Bement School in Deerfield came to the  aid of  their math teacher, Mrs. Pagna Donlevy and in doing so helped an entire country.

Parts of Cambodia, including the village where Pagna Donlevy grew up, suffered massive flooding, resulting in the loss of homes, livelihood and lives. 1.8 million Cambodians  have been affected by the flood waters.

Recently Mrs. Donlevy shared photos of the devastating floods and immediately the kids wanted to help.

Last week, the entire school, grades K through 9, held a “Halloween Fun Run” to raise money for the victims.

Students helped raise over ten thousand dollars for victims in Cambodia.
