Falcons Honor Hometown Heroes at MassMutual Center

FALCONSSPRINGFIELD (WGGB) – A special night for hockey fans at the MassMutual Center as the Falcons took on the Adirondack Phantoms.

It was ‘Hometown Heroes Night’ presented by the University of New Haven.

During the game… the Falcons appreciate the efforts of people in the community and honor members of law enforcement, the fire department, and anyone else in the greater-Springfield area that has made a difference in the community.

“It’s fantastic and it’s also great to see all these people who come up to you and shake your hand and thank you for your service,’ said U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Anthony Stroup. “You just sense the pride not just in the Air Force, by the way, but you sense the pride in our firemen and our policemen.”

The Falcons also wore special jersey’s for Hometown Heroes Night, featuring stars on one sleeve – and stripes on the other.
