Members of 104th Air Nat’l. Guard Visit Vets at Heritage Woods

(WGGB) — Members of the 104th Air National Guard based at Barnes spent time Monday visiting veterans at Agawam’s Heritage Woods.

Activity director Donna Gwosch says that both enjoy the annual tradition.

The older vets feel appreciated, while the active duty reservists get a sense of history.

“Their stories of World War II and what they have gone through, whether it’s during war time or peace time, because if it wasn’t for those guys – our residents – the military wouldn’t be the way it is today,” Gwosch explains.

Gwosch urged folks to be sure to thank veterans for everything they do and have done. anytime you get the chance.
