Ludlow Man Arraigned for Theft of $30K Ring from Hadley Store

(WGGB) — A Ludlow man has been arraigned on a charge related to the theft a $30,000 ring from a Hadley store.

Mary Carey, spokesperson for the Northwestern District Attorney’s office, says that 26-year-old Jesse Bluto of Ludlow was arraigned on November 8 on a charge of larceny over $250.

It’s alleged that Bluto went into the Hannoush Jewelers at the Hampshire Mall in Hadley on October 24, asked a clerk to look at the ring, then fled on foot out of the store.

The ring, which was valued at $30,000, had a total weight of four carats and was in a setting of 14k white gold.

Carey explains, “Bluto was identified as the alleged thief based upon store surveillance video, as well as a photo array shown to store personnel.”

Bail for Bluto was set at $2,500. He is due back in court on December 6.
