BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB) – A follow up to a story ABC40 has been following for months.
Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley is pushing for action against the newly implemented FEMA flood rates.
Those new rates will cost residents here in western Massachusetts and across the Commonwealth thousands of dollars more in insurance each year.
Coakley has filed an ‘amicus brief’ in federal court, arguing that FEMA failed to collect accurate data before rolling out its new rates.
She is asking for a delay.
