Suspect Indicted in Murder of Amy Lord
BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB) — The man who prosecutors allege killed Wilbraham native Amy Lord over the summer has been indicted by a grand jury.
Friday afternoon, Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley announced that Edwin Alemany has been indicted on charges of first degree murder, kidnapping, armed carjacking, two counts of armed robbery, arson of a motor vehicle, as well as several other charges.
Prosecutors allege that Alemany kidnapped Amy Lord in the early morning hours of July 23. He then allegedly forced her to drive to several Boston-area banks to withdraw money.
Lord was then found dead in Stony Brook Reservation in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood later that day.
Conley added that the indictment handed up also includes charges for three other assaults Alemany allegedly committed against other young women.
Alemany is currently being held in jail. Conley says that he will be arraigned next month on these charges.
ABC40 will have more information on this developing story as it becomes available.
