Shots Fired in Holyoke, Springfield Man Arrested on Gun Charges

gun2HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) – A Springfield man was arrested early Saturday morning after gunshots were heard in Holyoke.

Holyoke Police told ABC 40 they received several calls about gunshots near the intersection of Vernon and Temple Streets just after five a.m.

Officers responded to the scene to find 34-year-old Jose Rodriguez in a car with two other people. Police found a handgun and after investigating, arrested Rodriguez on the scene.

He was charged with possession of a handgun without a license and breach of the peace.

No one was injured.
