Man Stabbed at Amherst House Party

stabbing-graphicAMHERST, Mass. (WGGB) – A man was hospitalized after a house party got out of control in Amherst early Saturday morning.

Amherst Police responded to 66 Pine Street shortly after 12:30 a.m. where they found a 21-year-old man who sustained non-life threatening stab wounds to his neck and chest. He also had lacerations on his hand.

He was taken to Baystate Medical Center for treatment.

Amherst Police said the incident appears to be isolated and is not a risk to public safety.

No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
