A Few Showers this Evening. Steady Rain Overnight

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — After a beautiful late fall day yesterday we saw cloudy skies with some light rain and drizzle this afternoon. Temperatures were also about ten degrees cooler than what we saw yeasterday as temperatures made it into the low 50s. Rain will be light and scattered in coverage this evening. At this point it looks like the moderate to heavy rain holds off until after midnight and continues into early Monday morning with gusty winds and even the chance of a thunderstorm. The front is a fast-mover so the steady rain will not last long with amounts of about 1/2″ to 3/4″ expected. The rain should come to an end mid to late morning and skies will start to clear in the afternoon. It will be a windy day with winds out of the west between 15-20 mph.

Monday’s temperatures will start off quite mild – perhaps as mild as the 60s early but will fall off during the afternoon with the gusty breeze as much cooler air arrives! High temperatures on Tuesday will only make it into the lower 40s and this chilly air sticks around through late next week. Have a great evening!
