PVTA Collecting For Local Food Banks


SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority kicked off its annual Stuff the Bus campaign on Monday.

The PVTA is currently collecting non-perishable items on-board all buses through Monday, November 25.

You can also drop off donations at:

  • PVTA Terminal in Springfield – 1776 Main Street
  • PVTA Terminal in Holyoke – 206 Maple Street
  • PVTA Customer Service Office – 1341 Main Street, Springfield
  • PVTA Administration Office – 2808 Main Street, Springfield

All food collected on buses operating out of the PVTA’s Northampton & Springfield area garages will be donated to The Food Bank of Western Mass., while the food collected on buses operating out of the PVTA’s UMass Amherst garage will be donated to the Amherst Survival Center.
