ludlow power outage

LUDLOW, Mass (WGGB) — A car crash that knocked out power for nearly 300 customers has shut down a Ludlow roadway.

At around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday a car hit a utility pole on West Avenue, that road is still closed as crews work to repair that pole.

Power was restored to most WMECo customers by 3:00 a.m.

Ludlow Police told ABC40 that the driver in that crash was not seriously injured and didn’t need any medical treatment.

West Avenue is closed from Fuller Street until West Street. There is no estimate as to when West Avenue will be reopened to traffic.
