LUDLOW (WGGB) — Steady rain is making for slick roads on the start of the biggest travel day of the year Wednesday.
It has been a slow start to what is expected to be heavy traffic on the Massachusetts Turnpike, and on highways across Western Mass.
State Police in Springfield say they haven’t responded to any serious accidents as a result of the consistent rain that is expected to continue throughout Wednesday morning.
Traffic is slowly picking up on the Mass Pike in Ludlow. The rain is expected to taper off in the afternoon hours.
