40 Force: Easthampton

40Force320-1

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB) — Last week, the 40 Force made stops to South Hadley, Southwick, and East Longmeadow.

Tonight, our journey took us to Hampshire County and the City of Easthampton.

We explored the vibrant arts community in town, as well as a project designed to bring a boardwalk around Nashawannuck Pond – a fixture in downtown Easthampton.

What is 40 Force? Simply put, the 40 Force is WGGB and our neighbors, working together to make a difference in Western Massachusetts.

It’s our commitment to support the community by pooling our resources with the collective knowledge and know-how of the Pioneer Valley.

We are launching 40 Force this holiday season by highlighting the best of cities and town across Western Mass, while helping the neediest members of our region.

Tonight, you came out to help support the Easthampton Community Center with donations. Every week, they help about 800 families with food, clothing, and other needs.

Donations are always welcome at the Community Center. You can visit their website for hours and contact information.

Our next event will be Thursday night. Join us as we broadcast from Hadley Town Hall City Hall (100 Middle Street) from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Come on down, say hello, be on television, and join the 40 Force by supporting the victims of the Route 9 strip mall fire (monetary donations will be accepted on-site.

We look forward to seeing you!
