40 Force: Westfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — The next stop for the 40 Force was the Whip City – Westfield.

What is 40 Force? Simply put, the 40 Force is WGGB and our neighbors, working together to make a difference in Western Massachusetts.

We are launching 40 Force this holiday season by highlighting the best of cities and town across Western Mass, while helping the neediest members of our region.

Brittany caught up with Westfield Mayor Daniel Knapik to talk about the revitalization and recent work completed in Downtown Westfield. She also checked out many of the great places to eat in the city, including Clemenza’s, 2 Rivers Burrito, Tavern, Leo’sm and for dessert, Mamacakes.

Our own Ed Carroll was roving around town. He headed over the the Amelia Ice Rink to check out some of the hockey going on there, as well talking to some great athletes.

Thank you to those of you that came down to the Boys and Girls Club and help support the club with monetary and food donations!

Wednesday night, join us when we head to Deerfield. We will be broadcasting from the Yankee Candle flagship store (25 Greenfield Road) from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Come on down, say hello, be on television, and join the 40 Force as we support the club. Donations of non-perishable food items, as well as monetary donations, will be accepted on-site.

We look forward to seeing you!
