SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – It was a Christmas miracle for one local couple, a newborn baby, born around two in the morning on Christmas day at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
The couple was sitting down to Christmas Eve dinner when Crystal Williams started having contractions six minutes apart. Her original due date was New Year’s Eve and she thought she could hold out a few more days, but doctors told her to come in to deliver the baby that night.
“We actually thought that he would be the first baby of the New Year,” said Crystal Williams of Chicopee who gave birth to a healthy boy.
This is the first child for the couple who have been married just over a year and a half. They have named the baby Kingston.
