Christmas Eve Home Invasion in Forest Park Neighborhood

Crime - Breaking and enteringSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Springfield Police responded to a Christmas Eve home invasion Tuesday night in the city’s Forest Park neighborhood.

Officials said three suspects pistol-whipped a man in the mouth when he answered his door just before 1o p.m. The man was told to lay on the floor as two guns were pointed to his head and the suspects demanded to know “where the money was.”

The suspects stole two Sony Play Stations, five games, and seven pairs of shoes.

In addition to the Christmas gifts, a cell phone and $20 cash were also taken.

Police said the man’s girlfriend, a 15-year-old and an 8-year-old child were also in the house at the time.

No medical treatment was needed for the victims.

Two of the suspects were described as black males and a third was described as a Hispanic male. They were wearing masks.

The Springfield Detective’s Bureau are asking for the public’s help in this case. If anyone has any information, please call the police department at 413-787-6355.
