Man Held in Boston Shooting That Killed 3
Jael Romero pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday in Superior Court. The Suffolk District Attorney’s office says Romero, who has ties to Boston and Chelsea, was indicted last month on three counts of second-degree murder and gun charges.
Prosecutors say Romero fired into a crowd June 22 after his friend was stabbed during a fight that erupted between two groups of party-goers.
Killed were 22-year-old Ana Cruz, 22-year-old Felix Garcia and 23-year-old Brian Tirado.
Romero fled with another man after the shootings but was later arrested while in custody on unrelated charges in Bristol County.
His trial is scheduled for next December.
