One Homeless After Christmas Morning Mobile Home Fire

House FireBELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WGGB) – Belchertown Fire officials responded to a mobile home fire that left one man homeless Christmas day.

The call came in just before 9 a.m. and fire fighters arrived on the scene to find the mobile home fully engulfed in flames. It took crews about two hours for the fire to be completely extinguished.

The owner of the residence was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Two cats were lost in the blaze.

The home is considered a complete loss, but Red Cross officials did respond to officer assistance to the resident.

Belchertown Police and Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
