SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – One person is without a place to stay this Christmas after their home caught fire in Indian Orchard.

According to Dennis Leger, Aide to the Springfield Fire Commissioner, the fire broke out just before 1:30am in the second floor living room of the home at 71 Healey Street.

No injuries were reported as a result of that fire, but it did cause a reported $30,000 worth of damage.

Leger said the fire seems to be electrical in origin, but the exact cause is under investigation.
