Shoppers Take Advantage of Post-Christmas Deals
“My arm was falling off, I had so much stuff that I’ve already purchased,” said Michelle Fairman, an early bird shopper from Springfield.
Shoppers were up bright and early Thursday morning making sure they didn’t miss out on any deals.
“A lot of our holiday items are going to be on special. We’re having 25% off all of our retired Vera Bradley, which is some of our best selling items,” said Rachel Gonzalez, Assistant Manager at Gift-Ology.
At the Eastfield Mall the post-holiday deals are piling up, so if you have gift cards that are burning holes in your pocket, you’ll want to spend them before the sales end.
“I think it’s the gift card redemption that drives business this time of year,” said Eastfield Mall Marketing Director, Nicole Sweeney.
And the sales were crazy.
“75% off, 50% off, I got all my wrapping paper for $6.00 for next year’s Christmas,” said Fairman.
A recent survey conducted by the digital coupon marketplace, Retail Me Not, found eight in ten adults plan to shop after-Christmas sales.
