Clearing Skies and Diminishing Winds Tonight

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — It was a rather windy and brisk afternoon in the Pioneer Valley. The clouds hung tough and temperatures only made it into the low 40’s. We did manage to see a little sunshine but overall it was a rather overcast afternoon. The winds will diminish tonight and the skies will clear out and that will allow for radiational cooling to take place. It will be a chilly night with lows in the low 20’s.

Monday is setting up to be a really, nice, pleasant day! We’ll see lots of sunshine with mild afternoon temperatures. Most places will be back into the lower 50’s! Not bad for the middle of January!

Another storm will shift our way for Tuesday bringing with it some more rain. After this system moves out colder, more seasonable temperatures will move in for Wednesday, along with the chance of a few snow showers. By the middle of the week temperatures will likely be back down into the 30’s for highs.

Have a great evening!
