Springfield Firefighters Respond to Forest Street

FOREST CAR FIRE

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Springfield firefighters responded to 33 Forest St. for a car fire that spread to the 2- story single family home.

Just after 2pm, a Toyota Tundra was on fire, which then spread inside the house. Officials say it was caused by an electro-mechanical failure of the pickup truck.

2 adults and 3 children are being helped by the Red Cross.

The fire caused $60,000 in damage.
