Springfield Police Investigate Robbery of Delivery Driver

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Police are investigating the robbery of a food delivery driver.

Around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, a delivery driver for Burger King reported that he was making a delivery to 567 Canon Circle when he was held up by two people.

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney adds that the suspects stole a small amount of cash, a cell phone, and the GPS in the driver’s car. The victim also believed that the car’s keys were stolen.

Delaney notes that the suspects fled on foot and the victim walked back to the restaurant to call police.

The driver was not hurt.

Detectives continue to investigate the case.
