Mutual Aid Responding to Fire on Deerfield Street in Greenfield

Bus Fire GreenfieldDEERFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Mutual aid has been called in for a fire that broke out late Tuesday afternoon in Greenfield.

Crews were called out to the Franklin Regional Transit Authority on Deerfield Street in Greenfield around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

A public bus caught on fire in the FRTA garage.

The Greenfield Fire Department says the flames were put out quickly, and did not spread to anything.

Officials with Turners Falls Fire and Bernardston Fire say sent firefighters to the scene, and provided mutual aid.
